See my work at Art on 12 in Wimberley, Texas!
From the time I was a small child, I have had an active interest in the creative aspects of life. Over the years, I experimented with acrylics, watercolors, collage, clay, needlepoint, bargello, sewing, and creative writing. I found joy in all these outlets. I studied the work of famous artists through exploration and interpretation in the museums of Paris, New York, Florence, Rome, Venice, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
Currently, I study with individual instructors and attend workshops. I read books on color, perspective, and other aspects of technique. I show my work in juried local exhibits. I am an active member of Texas Wax, the Wimberley Valley Art League.
I retired in 2005 and moved to Wimberley, Texas. With a doctorate in science education and a master's degree in biochemistry, I worked in research labs, taught at the high school, undergraduate and graduate levels, supported both administrators and classroom teachers in their work, and wrote numerous successful grant proposals. Here in Wimberley, surrounded by artists, I am free to pursue my work and get lost in my journey.
